Author and Illustrator Class Visits

Would you like to invite the author and illustrator of Audacious Ignatius and Sorin Starts a School: The Foundation of Notre Dame to teach your students?

We love to talk about our books in schools and parishes. (Interested? We’d love to hear from you. ) We have decades of experience with teaching children and love to tailor speaking engagements to the context of your community. We are theologically-trained and love to bring theological reflection into our speaking engagements.

Paul loved his time as an English teacher, and can weave the teaching of writing into your session.

Katie loves to teach with and about her art, inviting the participants of our sessions into her creative process.

If you are interested, let’s be in touch! Let us know what you are hoping for via out contact form.

Here is an idea of what to expect:

First, we listen to you: about your school, your students, and what you hope from the session.

Then, we will put our heads together and send you a lesson plan based on our conversation. Below is an example of one for a 3rd – 5th grade cohort.

(Here is the lesson plan I refer to in the video.)

After we receive your feedback and change our plan accordingly, we plan the event!

Paul lives in Greater DC and Katie lives in the Tampa area, so we typically meet on Zoom.
